In this video, I started with the intention of replicating Man Ray’s Rayograph technique, but through experimentation, I ended up creating a different style of silhouette that I found more intriguing. The video emphasizes the importance of experimenting in the middle of a creative journey. In this video, I stress that trying different words in prompts leads to unique and unexpected images. I show how I created ghostly images of Tibetan prayer flags and Thai Buddhist monks walking meditation. The video encourages experimentation and branching out of referencing specific artists to try unique combinations that others may never have considered. I also tried silhouettes of Indonesian shadow puppets and emphasize that exploring a theme ties the images together.
