Building my Dream Prompt Editor (Update)-Plus Converting Midjourney Videos to JSON Image Profiles

Another week and more updates on the Promptbuilder application. It’s still in development/Private Beta, probably a couple 2-3 weeks out before public beta. This past week I made a few updates–the biggest being the addition of a tagging system for profiles. Now, for example, you can create a prompt that uses JSON, add a thumbnail, link to and preview a full size version of the image, add notes, and … you can add tags to the profile and search by tags. It’s a very handy way to look for specific styles of images and doesn’t rely on you having a searchable profile name. Just tag your images and you can find them either by using the Load Profile feature (a simple version of tag search) or Manage Profiles (where you can filter by tag name and edit tags just by clicking on the name.

I forgot to mention this in the video (probably b/c most people won’t care), but I did a refactor of the application. So basically, the code is more streamlined and easier for me to develop in. It was becoming a necessity because of the additional features, and is a best practice to follow.

I have a few more features that I’ll be adding and testing. Let me know if there are any features that you think would be helpful.

Also in this video, I demonstrate how to convert a Midjourney video in to a JSON profile. I built an application that lets you import an MP4 and extract specific frames from it. I think I’ll keep the application separate because I love the simplicity of being able to drag/drop an MP4, go to a specific frame then save it out as a JPG/PNG. It’s very easy to use the frame as the starting point for your image in Runway and Midjourney and is a creative way to extend videos or come up with creative videos by using inpainting on extracted frames.

Please like, comment, and if you want to track the progress then consider subscribing if you haven’t done so already.
